Australia marks first win of World T20; Bangladesh remains winless

MIRPUR: Australia defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets on Tuesday in their last game of World T20 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, ARY News reported.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat against Australia in the World Twenty20 match at Mirpur, the final fixture for the two sides after they were eliminated from semi-final contention. 

Australian openers set a solid platform putting with the 98 runs stand.

 Aaron Finch continued his good form with 71 off 45 and he proved the difference as he blunted Bangladesh's spinners quite ably.
David Warner scored 35 balls 48 runs.

Australia chased the target quite comfortably in 18th over at the loss of three wickets.

Earlier, Bangladesh batting first set the target of 154. 

Shakib-Al-Hasan was the stand out batsman with 66 runs from 52 balls while Captain Mushfiqur Rahim made unbeaten 47 from 36 balls while Nasir Hossain made 14 from 10 balls.

Nathan Coulter-Nile took two wickets whereas Mitchell Starc, Doug Bollinger and Shane Watson took one wicket each.
