Ayaz succeeds in bringing Lyari gangs to negotiations table

KARACHI: A 13 member Lyari Ittehad Committee has been formed for the sake of restoring peace in the town, whilst the Chief of Awami Tehreek, Ayaz Lateef Palijo urges all the stake holders to make efforts for durable peace in the locality – ARY News reports.

According to details, confronting Uzair Jan and Baba Ladla groups entered into a peace deal in Hyderabad earlier today, Ayaz Lateef Paljo played a key role in bringing the confronting gangs on the table of talks.

MPA Sania Baloch represented Uzair Jan group whilst Majeed Sarbazi came from Baba Ladla's side. Meanwhile, chieftains of both the groups also endorsed the peace deal made in Hyderabad.

MPA Sania Baloch while talking to media after negotiations, said that peace efforts for Lyari have been fruitful and now an action is needed against the criminal elements in the vicinity.

Representative of Baba Ladla group, Abdul Majeed Sarbazi told that going to Hyderabad was a compulsion for him, for ahead was the peace in Lyari.

The feud among the gangsters had surfaced from a bomb blast immediately after a football match in a ground in Lyari in August 2013. Baba Ladla group had alleged Uzair Jan group to be behind the blast.

Since then the mobsters had divided into two groups and an armed struggle erupted in Lyari in the run to dominate as much areas as each of the two could.
