The slain custom official, Sub-Inspector Chaudhry Ijaz allegedly investigating the money laundering case against model Ayyan Ali, was shot and killed in June last year.

While requesting the apex court to continue travel ban on Ayyan Ali, Saima Ijaz said her husband was killed because he gave a statement absolutely not in favour of the supermodel and insisted that Ayyan Ali should not be allowed to flee the country until the judicial inquiry into the money laundering case comes to a conclusion.

Meanwhile, Ayyan Ali has also contacted the Supreme Court following the inclusion of her name again in the Exit Control List (ECL).

The interior ministry expelled my name from the ECL list only to include it again within an hour, said, Ayyan Ali, after she filed another application at the court against the centre for again reinserting her name in the ECL.

The model was arrested on March 14, 2014, from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad.
