Bajaur Girls: Five suspects arrested

Earlier, Police had recovered 26 minor girls that were being forced to live in captivity over a loan settlement in Liaquatabad area of Karachi.

Police has also filed cases against two suspects identified as Hameeda Khatoon and Ayub whereas five people, including three women, have been arrested as well.

Assistant political agent of Bajaur Agency has said that the girls will be handed over to their relatives after complete verification.

Sindh Government and tribal elders, in a meeting, decided to form a committee comprised of Assistant Political Agent and the tribal elders.

The agent further said that the court will now decide about handing the girls over to their parents.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Rubina Qaimkhani and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) MNAs visited Dar-al-Banaat, a government shelter in Karachi, to inquire about the condition of the girls.
