According to details, a passenger bus was heading to Karachi from Quetta when it collided with a speeding truck at RCD Highway, resulting deaths of eight people on the spot and injuries to 15 others.
The injured persons included women and children.
The rescue teams immediately reached the spot and shifted the injured and the bodies to a nearby hospital.
Doctors at the hospital said some of the injured were in critical condition. They feared that the death toll could rise.
Police suspect that the incident resulted due to speeding, however actual cause could be ascertained after completion of investigation.
