Bangladesh decides to favor Big Three proposal

KARACHI: In order to get ICC revamp proposal approved Big Three are now one vote away, as Bangladesh decided on Thursday to vote in favour of them after getting surety of retaining their test status, ARY News reported.

A foreign website revealed that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) took the decision to support Big Three for the amendment in ICC’s constitution after being ensured that their team wouldn’t pull out of Tests.

Furthermore, according to the statement from the BCB directors and councilors following the press conference in Mirpur, BCB president Nazmul Hassan said that Bangladesh will play against India, England and Australia in the next two years. He hopes to sign the Members Participation Agreements (MPA) by February 8 with the three countries to confirm the tours.

The Big Three proposal required total 8 votes out of 10 member countries for the structural change of ICC. West Indies have already announced to support the agenda.

Now only three countries namely Pakistan, Sri Lanka and South Africa haven’t agreed the proposal yet.
