MIRPUR: Bangladesh scored 204 against Sri Lanka in the last league match of Asia Cup at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, ARY News reported.
Bangladesh winning the toss decided to bat first. Their openers started well making a partnership of 74 runs.
But the Sri Lankan spinners turned the game running through the top and middle order while the rest of the damage was done by pacers Suranga Lakmal and Thisara Perera.
Four of the Sri Lankan bowlers namely Lakmal, Perera, Ajantha Mendis and Ashan Priyanjan took 2 wickets each.
Among opening pair, Anamul Haque scored 49 runs and Shamsur Rahman made 39 runs.
Some useful contribution from the middle order helped Sri Lanka to score 204 runs.
Nasir Hossain and Mahmudullah scored 30 runs each.
