MIRPUR: Bangladesh shattered Pakistani bowlers by hitting strokes all around the ground and posted massive score of 326 runs on board at Shere Bangla National Stadium, ARY News reported.
After a string of miserable performances on the field and controversies off it, Bangladesh bounced back to post their highest ODI total, against Pakistan in the Asia Cup.
Uptill now everything has gone towards Bangladesh, after winning the toss they decided to bat first.
Their opening pair set the strong foundation with the stand of 150 runs. Anamul Haque scored 100 runs and Imrul Kayes made 59.
Middle order of Bangladesh played aggressively and blasted off Pakistani bowlers, Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 51 runs each from 47 and 33 balls respectively.
Shakib Al Hasan, who made a return after a three-ODI suspension played a useful knock of 44 off 16 balls.
Pakistan bowlers, on the other hand, punished badly by the Bangladeshi batsmen except Mohammad Hafeez, who bowled a economical spell conceding 27 runs but remained wicktless.
Saeed Ajmal took 2 wickets in his 10 overs spell giving away 61 runs.
Abdur Rehman, who replaced Junaid Khan in the match was barred from bowling after he bowled three consecutive beamers to Bangladesh batsman in an Asia Cup match.
