Pakistan’s central bank issued a notification to all banks before Eid-ul-Azha holidays to continue their branch operations today in a bid to facilitate people preparing to celebrate the festival across the country.

According to an SBP notification, all branches of commercial banks and MFBs will be working from 9:00 am to 5:30 am on Saturday (today) in order to cater the banking needs of the public.

Commercial banks and MFBs are accordingly advised to ensure that their branches should strictly observe the aforementioned timings.

Meanwhile earlier, SBP also asked the banks to ensure that their Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) were working with cash, particularly near main livestock markets across the country.

Pakistanis will be celebrating Eid-ul-Azha on 13th of this month after the government fixed three days as public holidays this year.

In a surprise move, the federal government has not announced a day-off on the third day of the Muslim festival, announcing Eid-ul-Azha holidays from September 12 until September 14 only.
