Speaking to Delhi Study Group on Monday, Abdul Basit said India has been making efforts to cause instability in Pakistan, adding that the Modi government should restrain its agents from pursuing subversive agendas.
He said that these efforts are being made through Afghanistan and called upon India to put an end to such activities.
Basit also laid a clear-cut stance on the arrest of an on-duty RAW official, Kulbhushan Yadav, in Pakistan: “Yadav will have to face penalty for what he had been doing around.”
He lamented no advancement in bilateral talks even five months after the Pathankot airbase attack, despite Pakistan’s assistance in probing it.
