BBC newsreader caught in awkward moment on live TV

LONDON: Bloopers are no new concept for broadcast journalists. To err is human. And that exactly happened with a BBC newsreader who was caught offguard during a live telecast.

The BBC newsreader was caught out when the camera cut to her in the BBC newsroom Monday lunchtime, reported the Mirror.

The journalist was seen casually flicking through her phone, suggesting she was not perhaps aware of going live any time soon.

But instead of look surprised, or stumble her way through her next bulletin, she reacted like the pro she is, calmly placing her phone on the desk before carrying on as if it was all part of the plan.

She has since apologised for the blooper saying she had no idea she was up next.
