Azam Swati was arrested along with six other activists of PTI in Islamabad on Saturday afternoon.
Swati, while speaking exclusively to ARY News, said that he is under police custody at Margalla Station. He added that such behaviour of the cops was unlawful and unacceptable.
He also said that a magistrate had ordered him to submit guarantee for his release.
“Police told that I was arrested for violating Section 144”, he said. Azam Swati added that the step was taken to prolong the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The PTI leader added that the party workers were also arrested illegally.
