ISLAMABAD: Chinese Deputy Ambassador to Pakistan Li Jiang on Tuesday said that his government would provide $1bn grant in three years for the remote areas of Pakistan.
Addressing CPEC conference, the Chinese envoy said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor had entered second stage and added that in this stage, special economic zones would be built in different areas.
He said that the state-of-the-art Gwadar hospital was being built by Chinese grant. He said that first economic zone was in its final state and hoped that all the provinces would fulfill their responsibilities on time.

The envoy said that all the political parties and the government were on the same page in connection with CPEC. He said that development work remained continue on CPEC during the tenures of former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.
The deputy ambassador said they were agreed to include third partner in CPEC. He said that China would provide $1bn grant in three years for remote areas of Pakistan.
The envoy said that they did not want war between Pakistan and India as the entire region would affect with the war.
