Belarus ambassador calls on Fawad Chaudhry, discusses bilateral relations
ISLAMABAD: Belarus ambassador on Monday called on Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry in Islamabad, ARY News reported.
Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations, cultural cooperation and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting.
BelTA’s , the state-owned national news agency of Belarus, director general was also present in the meeting.
Talking to the ambassador, Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan and ambassador had friendly relations and stressed upon the need for exchange of cultural delegations. He said that they wanted to boost ties with Belarus in diverse fields.
The ambassador said that Belarus gave great importance to its relationship with Pakistan.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) and the State Committee on Science and Technology (SCST) of Belarus had announced to hold a joint contest of the Belarusian-Pakistani scientific and technical projects for 2019-2021.
The contest would be a part of the agreement on cooperation in the field of science and technology signed on May 29, 2015 between the Governments of the Republic of Belarus and Pakistan.
Under the contest, the Pakistani and Belarusian scientists and researchers can submit joint project proposals in the priority areas in science and technology till April 15, 2019.
