Benazir Bhutto case: former SHO testifies before court

RAWALPINDI: A former Station House Officer (SHO) recorded his statement on Monday the murder case of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, ARY News reported.

According to details, former SHO Kashif Riaz appeared in the anti-terrorism court for the hearing of the case where he told the judge that a mob surrounded Benazir Bhutto’s vehicle when she got out of the car following her address at Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh.

“Firing and explosion took place when she was outside her vehicle”, Riaz said.

He also informed the court that a 30-bore pistol and bullet shells and a nine-mm pistol were recovered from the crime scene.  He added that parts of suicide jackets and human bodies were also found which were sent to forensic and medical labs for investigation.

The cop also said that the bodies were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.

The judge adjourned the hearing of the case till the first of October.
