SIALKOT: Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif has said that it is better if the talks with Taliban succeed, otherwise a second option is always there for the Government – ARY News reports.
Talking to media here, Khawaja Asif said that defence of any of the state is not possible without its economic security. He stated that the Government is sincerely negotiating with Taliban, it is well and good it a dialogue works, yet a second option is always there in case of failure of talks.
Commenting on General (R) Pervez Musharraf, Asif said that the dictator who used to show his fist to the nation is now reluctant to face the court, but he will have to appear before the court after all, for the law is equal for everyone.
He expressed his wishes to the see the state peaceful enough, where no one gets beheaded.
The Federal Minister said that to save the nation from load-shedding, 1700 MWs of electricity will be induced in the national grid by the month of May this year.
