Earlier, Bilawal made a surprise visit to the welcome rally, where party workers were rather excited to see him. In his brief address, he said that it will be a historic rally tomorrow.

He said that the PPP was a force to be reckoned with, and would turn up in massive numbers to pay tribute to its martyrs who have laid down their lives for the sake of the party.

PPP leader Saeed Ghani said that Bilawal will address the rally at four different points including at the start at Bilawal House in Clifton, Lea Market Lyari, mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam, and finally at the Karsaz intersection on Shahra-e-Faisal.

Strict security arrangements have been made comprising 25 Superintendent Police, 60 Deputy Superintendent Police and around eight thousand workers. Additional Inspector General Mushtaq Mahar said that they have not ruled any type of impending threat.

This is the first rally which will be led by Bilawal Bhutto. His grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto led a historic rally after he swept to power in 1971. His mother and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto also received a historic welcome after returning to the country in 1986.
