KARACHI: Patron in Chief of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also criticized the Ministry of Water and Power and demanded the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif to prevent his cabinet ministers from hurting the sentiments of the people of smaller provinces of the country – ARY News reports.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari alleged that the Federal Government is victimizing the people of Sindh. He said that Sindh has a vital role in fulfilling the energy needs of the country, but the people are going to lose their patience due to power outages up to 18 hours a day.

Bilawal slammed the Ministry of Water and Power saying that in the past it was involved in overbilling of the street lights in smaller areas of Sindh, as compared to what it charged from Lahore and Faisalabad, which is unfair.

The PPP leader demanded the Prime Minister to prevent his ministers from hurting the sentiments of the people of relatively smaller provinces.

Earlier, the State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali had mentioned that only those consumers will receive electricity who pay their bills.

He had clarified that no Punjabi, Balochi, Sindhi or Pakhtun will be allowed to get away with power theft.

Abid had further stated that the people protesting today, should better understand that these measures are in their own interest.
