LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has hinted at a possible alliance following the party’s defeat in PP-78 Jhang by-election.

In his tweet on Saturday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that he will be consulting his party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) regarding forming a practical progressive alliance given the result of the recent by-election in Jhang.

He has not announced as to which parties he will contact for the alliance.

It should be noted that Independent candidate Masroor Nawaz Jhangvi secured more than 48,000 votes to win the PP-78 by-election in Jhang against PPP (over 33,000 votes) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) (over 35,000 votes) candidates.
