Chairman BISP met the prime minister and submitted his resignation before Sharif’s departure to Nepal to attend the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) summit in Kathmandu.
According to sources Enver Baig had informed the premier that he was facing bureaucratic hurdles to implement the government policies.
The BISP was launched in 2008 by Pakistan People’s Party government to extend support to the population living below the poverty line.
