Blasphemous comics have hurt Muslims' feelings: Rehman

KARACHI: Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the blasphemous caricatures that were printed in France have hurt the sentiments of billions of Muslims around the world, ARY News reports.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik, speaking exclusively to ARY News, said that the feelings of billions of Muslims around the world were hurt when the French magazine Charlie Hebdo published the blasphemous comics.

Earlier, members of the National Assembly had approved a resolution against blasphemous caricatures in the session on Thursday whereas the Parliamentarians also held a march to register their protest.

The former interior minister also said that strict action needs to be taken to defeat terrorism in the country.

Ex-Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf stated that the country has to remain united against terrorism.
