12 killed, 22 hurt in Peshawar cinema blasts

PESHAWAR: At least 12 persons were killed and at least 22 persons were injured in three blasts in a cinema at Pajlaki road of Peshawar on Tuesday citing rescue sources ARY News reports. 

The blasts reported in Shama Cinema of Peshawar at Pajlaki road, in which several persons were injured, reports said. 

Police and rescue agencies reached to the place of blast. 

The injured and bodies transferred to Lady Reading Hospital of the city, where emergency has been declared by the hospital administration. Three injured said to be in precarious condition.  

Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar, provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has a history of massive terrorist attacks with huge losses of life including military and civilians. 

Northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan has witnessed countless militant attacks in past several years.
