ISLAMABAD: Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leaders and the local administration holding talks as remains of General Secretary ASWJ Islamabad, Mufti Muneer Muawiya, and an office-bearer of the group, Qari Asad Mahmood, were taken to Lal Masjid of the capital city, ARY News reported on Saturday.
The two officials of ASWJ were shot dead in Islamabad's I-8 sector in an attack on Friday.
The two were in a car when two motorcycle riding gunmen sprayed bullets at their vehicle, police officials said.
Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat leaders intend to offer funeral prayers of the slain activists in front of the Parliament building. Commissioner of Islamabad holding talks with ASWJ to desist from offering funeral prayers near the Parliament House due to security concerns, sources said.
The talks were still underway without reaching to a conclusion, sources said.
