According to eye-witness accounts, 19-year old Sheraz had jumped in the water tank three days ago and drowned in the deep water. His cousin, identified as Abdul Wahab, also jumped into the tank to save Sheraz but also drowned in the water tank.
The residents of the area tried to retrieve the dead bodies but failed to do so.
The teams of Edhi volunteers have launched an operation to recover the bodies of the two youngsters from the water board’s tank.
It is unclear as to why the teams have not yet managed to retrieve the bodies from the tank and why did Sheraz jumped in the water tank.
