Bollywood is wooing Fawad Khan with film offers

The Khoobsurat actor was supposed to return back soon afterwards but decided to extend his stay there. The has set abuzz rumour mills that the he is finalizing his fourth Bollywood film.

Several producers are vying for him including Rhea Kapoor’s Battle For Bittora and Salman Khan’s production, Jugalbandi which also features Anil Kapoor. However, all eyes are set that Karan Johar may be the one to eventually sign up Fawad.

Yesterday, Fawad Khan gave a detailed interview with Indian newspaper Hindustan Times where he discussed a wide range of issues.

He said that he entered the Bollywood industry with minimum expectations but the response received was overwhelming and surprising which was beyond his expectations . He considers himself lucky as there are more talented actors in Pakistan but he just wanted to prove himself as an actor.

Fawad said that working in Kapoor & Sons has helped people look beyond his good looks, and now he wants to try different characters and genres.

“I have been a mediocre representation of Pakistani talent,” said Fawad. He said that it was a good feeling that other actors from Pakistan were entering the market and wished them best of luck and hoped they would do better than him.

When asking why he was not singing anymore films, Fawad said that he was choosy as the process of filmmaking was time-consuming and he was more satisfied to take smaller roles and enjoy life.

Fawad revealed that he is currently working on two film in Pakistan, one based on musician Alamgir and another a remake of classic film Maula Jatt.

Fawad also shied away when asked if he was part of Salman Khan’s Juganbandi saying that he can’t comment on it right now. He did not deny the news though saying that he does not like talking about it but when only when an official announcement is made.
