LAHORE: Provincial Law Minister, Rana Sanaullah has said that the recovery of a bomb nearby Musharraf's residence on the day when he had to be present before the court is a notable thing – ARY News reports.
Addressing a press conference at Punjab Assembly here on Wednesday, Rana Sanaullah said that it is the duty of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold the Local Body (LB) elections not ours. He added that the ECP should consult the Supreme Court (SC) against the decision of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The provincial minister said that legislations regarding LB elections, from a newer end will take 3 months and the ECP will have to have 6-7 months for forming new delimitations.
Moreover, he mentioned that if a census takes place then it will take almost 2 years to hold LB polls, however the ECP has the right of appeal.
