He said the PML-N-led government has paid off all its debts in its tenure.
While addressing parliamentarians on the floor of the National Assembly, Dar claimed that broad consensus has been evolved on various economic issues.
Winding up debate on the federal budget 2016-17 in the National Assembly, Dar said the standing committees and parliamentarians showed great interest in the preparation of the budget.
The minister said economic reforms were being introduced for development projects and concrete steps were being taken to eradicate poverty from the country.
“We received at least 139 budget proposals, out of which some 62 proposals have already been approved,” Dar said while terming it a record.
The federal finance minister also claimed that the inflation rate has been brought to the minimum.
