QUETTA: Anti-Terrorism Court Quetta granted exemption to former president Pervez Musharraf from appearing before the court in Akbar Bugti murder case for today, ARY News reported on Monday.

ATC Judge Anwar Kasi granted a plea of the counsel of Musharraf for exemption of the former president in the hearing for today. The judge ordered Musharraf to appear before the court in the next hearing.

Former interior minister Aftab Sherpao, Shoaib Nosherwani and two guarantors of Pervez Musharraf appeared in the court today.

Aftab Sherpao filed a petition in the court pleading for his acquittal from the case. Iftikhar Gillani, the counsel of Sherpao, said that there is no witness, neither the location of the incident has been inspected, his client's name has been included in accused because he was the interior minister at that time.  

The court issued notices to the parties and said that the plea of Aftab Sherpao will be heard in the next hearing on June 16th.
