It should be noted that election tribunal had disqualified Javed Akbar Khan as a member of KP Assembly over possesion of fake educational documents.
The by-polls is being contested between Ehtesham Javed of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Mureed Kazim, Mujtaba Al-Hassan along with several other candidates.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has set up 108 polling stations in the constituency in which 31 have been declared extremely sensitive whereas 27 stations declared sensitive.
A police control room has been made to curb any untoward incident during the voting process.
