KHUSHAB/HARIPUR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) candidate, Uzair Muhammad Hoti won the by-elections from NA-69 Khushab on Thursday – ARY News reports.
According to unofficial and unfinalized results, PMLN nominee Uzair Muhammad Hoti stood victorious in yesterday's by-polls securing 92,508, after a tough fight with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Umer Aslam Awan.
The national assembly seat fell vacant after the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan had declared Sumera Malik ineligible for possessing fake educational certificates.
PTI candidate Umer Aslam Awan once again alleged that the polls were rigged.
Meanwhile, PMLN and PTI also came face to face with each other in PK-50, Haripur by-elections, where the PTI candidate, Akber Ayub won the provincial assembly seat after bagging 24,521 votes.
This seat was also fell vacant after the disqualification of the provincial minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Yousuf Ayub over fake degrees owned by him.
