BZU brawl: Protesting students disperse after talks with administration

MULTAN: The protest by the students after a clash between two student organizations at the Bahauddin Zakria University (BZU), has been ended through peaceful talks. At least 5 students were injured earlier today, due to a brawl between two rival groups of students at the university campus – ARY News reports.

According to details, the protesting students dispersed after successful talks with the university administration. Earlier today, BZU turned into a battle field, due to clashes between two rival groups of students, during which both the sides openly used batons and stones to thrash each other.

Meanwhile, university administration called in the police after the situations worsened, a heavy contingent of policemen took control of the campus. After this, a large number of provoked students gathered at the University Chowk and protested against the administration.

The Vice Chancellor (VC) of BZU, Khwaja Alqama while taking notice of the seriousness of the situation, reached out to the protesting students and managed to disperse them after holding successful talks.
