Cabinet of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah sworn in

Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad administered the oath which was convened by Chief Secretary Siddique Memon. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah was also present on the occasion.

The nine-ministers who have been sworn in include Nisar Khuhro, Jam Mehtab Dahar, Sohail Anwar Siyal, Mukesh Chawla, Makhdoom Jamil-uz-Zaman, Sikander Mandhro, Jam Khan Shoro and Sardar Ali Nawaz Mahar, while Ms. Shamim Mumtaz  is the sole women in the cabinet.

The portfolios which they have been alloted are as follows: Nisar Khuhro – Food and Parliamentary Affairs, Jam Mehtab Dahar – Education, Mukesh Chawla – Excise and Taxation, Makhdoom Jamil-uz-Zaman – Revenue, Sikander Mandhro – Education, Shamim Mumtaz – Social Welfare, Sardar Ali Nawaz Mahar – Culture, and Jam Khan Shoro – Local Government.

Sohail Anwar Siyal had been removed from the coveted Interior Ministry and been allotted the Ministry of Agriculture. The Interior Ministry not been handed over and will be maintained by CM Murad Ali Shah. Several new people have been brought while several have retained their ministries or have been reshuffled.

Apart from these four advisors have been sworn it which includes Saeed Ghani, Murtaza Wahab, Maula Bux Chandio and Asghar Junejo. The special assistants include Khatumal Jevan (Minorities), Erum Khalid (Women Development), Dr. Sikanader Shoro (Information Technology), and Syed Ghulam Shah (Religious Affairs).

The provincial cabinet visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinah to pay their respects to the father of the nation.

While speaking to the media, Murad Ali Shah condemned the attack on the Rangers personnel in Larkana and called it a cowardly and terrorist act. He has that IG Sindh has been instructed to taken action against the culprits.

He said that he hopes to make Sindh a province of peace for which many sacrifices were made including of Benazir Bhutto, and to ensure that every child receives any education and everyone get proper healthcare facilities. He promised to work actively and diligently for the welfare of province and said that the results were been clearly visible to the people.

He said that a meeting of the cabinet has been convened tomorrow which will discuss the contentious issue of the powers to Rangers. The efforts of the paramilitary force had significantly improved the security situation in Karachi. He said that they will work together to further improve the situation.

Murad Ali Shah revealed that they have released fifty percent of the funds for projects across the provinces, while Rs49 billion have allocated for development projects. “I will remain Murad Ali Shah only,” he said, while stating he will reduce protocol and will not like be compared with anyone else.
