Call of Duty: WWII to release on November 3 on PS4, Xbox One

Game developer Sledgehammer Games recently revealed that the ‘Call of Duty: WWII’ will be available on November 3 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

The release date was announced along with a full trailer during a worldwide live stream. Sledgehammer said that Call of Duty: WWII will take place between 1944 and 1945, which is certainly a departure for the series after the last few years of modern and futuristic warfare.

The multiplayer game engages players in grounded, fast-paced combat across many of the most iconic locations of World War II. Players will also enjoy exciting new ways to interact and socialize with their friends and the Call of Duty community

Call of Duty returns to its roots with and provides an experience that redefines World War II for a new gaming generation.

Players can land in Normandy on D-Day and battle across Europe through iconic locations the most monumental war, and experience the classic Call of Duty combat, the bonds of camaraderie, and the unforgiving nature of war.

Gamers take the role as the young, inexperienced Private Daniels in the single-player, but there will also be a mission that casts as a woman fighting in the French resistance. There will also be a co-operation but it will apparently take the form of “a new and original story” featuring zombies.

There will also be a multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty: WWII at E3, which will take place in Los Angeles from June 13-15. Transformers actor Josh Duhamel is confirmed to appear in Call of Duty: WWII as Technical Sergeant William Pierson.

The game is now available for pre-order and digital download. There is also a Pro Edition that will be exclusive to GameStop which comes with the game, a steel book case, the season pass, and “additional bonus content.”
