According to the minister of Citizen and Immigration Canada (CIC) Chris Alexander, Government has enacted a law according to which those people will not get citizenship who have more than one wife. The Canadian government is working on a bill which would banned the force marriages and the age limit to get married would be 16 years.
Canadian authorities have been working on a bill to deal with fraud marriages finally they have got a solution. The reason behind proposing such law is the increase in incident of honor killing in the past decade. Fraud marriages have also become a severe issue. According to the Canadian authorities such incidents are occurring among immigrants, who have come and settled down here from Middle East and South Asia.
