Caretaker PM, naval chief discuss matters pertaining to Pakistan Navy
ISLAMABAD: Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi called on caretaker Prime Minister retired Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk in Islamabad on Thursday.
Professional matters pertaining to Pakistan Navy came under discussion during the meeting.
Meanwhile, Governor State Bank of Pakistan Tariq Bajwa also called on caretaker Prime Minister retired Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk at PM office in Islamabad. Professional matters with regard to economy came under discussion during the meeting.
On Wednesday, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had met Mr. Mulk at the Prime Minister House.
During the meeting, Gen Bajwa congratulated Justice Nasirul Mulk for being appointed caretaker prime minister and extended well wishes to him. The two dignitaries discussed the country’s current security situation and other matters during the meeting.
This was the first meeting between the army chief and Justice ® Mulk after he sworn in as caretaker premier of the country last week.
Earlier this week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had briefed the caretaker premier on issues of foreign policy at the PM Office.
