Carrying edibles, drinking items banned in Sindh Assembly

KARACHI: Discussions on eatables, drinking water bottles and bettle nuts ruled the proceedings of the Sindh Assembly on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

Education Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro pointed out that some members are often seen having bettle nuts (chaliya) during the session. Information Minister Sharjeel Memon hastened to add that a lawmaker from PTI regularly chew gum, which is against the assembly norms.

Samar Ali Khan of PTI also exchanged barbs with the information on the issue.

Later, all assembly members were told that bringing any drinking item or any edible was banned in the house.
