ISLAMABAD: Police on Tuesday registered a case against three security guards of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif for assaulting a private TV channel’s cameramen at the Parliament House.

Guards of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo’s protocol tortured senior cameraman Syed Wajid Ali Shah on Oct 17 as he filmed Sharif leaving the Parliament House after meeting his younger brother and Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif.

Police have included their names in the First Information Report.

Earlier today, a number of journalists besieged the deposed premier on the premises of an accountability court to protest against the incident.

Media personnel also held a protest against the violence inflicted on the cameraman and demanded Sharif to tender an apology over the incident.
