Case registered against Geo at Karachi, Lahore police stations
LAHORE: A case was registered against Geo/Jang group administration, its owner Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman and other people associated with the same media group at police stations in Karachi and Lahore, ARY News reported Thursday.
Mirza Asif Advocate filed case at Mithdar Police Station in Karachi.
Similarly, on the orders of additional district and sessions’ judge, a case was registered at Old Anarkali Police Station against Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Shahista Lodhi, Veena Malik and her husband Asad Khattak for hurting religious sentiments of millions of viewers through sacrilegious content.
The case was registered under section-298 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Petitioner Aftab Warak said federal and provincial government tried to block registration of FIR. He also demanded to bring back prime accused (Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman) in the country through Interpol.
He also demanded arrest of all the accused nominated in the case.
