KARACHI: Cell phone services have been suspended in several cities of the country due to Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) today, ARY News reports.
The services have been suspended due to the law and order situation on the religious occasion.
Mobile phones have gone silent in cities such as Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Larkana and Mirpur Khas. Cellular services were suspended from 8am in Karachi whereas they were already shut down at 7am in Peshawar and Quetta.
Cellular services will be restored at 10 pm in Karachi.
A ban has been imposed on riding a motorcycle in Dera Ismail Khan whereas cell phone services will be restored at 6pm.
Pillion riding has also been banned in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Swabi.
