KARACHI: A handsome tea vendor, hogging spotlight in Pakistan and outside the country with sobriquet ‘Chai Wala’ for his dashing looks, has again hit the TV screens – but this time featuring in a commercial ad.
Arshad Khan aka Chai Wala became an overnight sensation when a photographer’s Instagram shot of him working at his tea stall was shared tens of thousands of times.
He has now appeared in a motorcycle ad.
As his pictures became an internet hit, local news outlets reported offers of modeling contracts and even a possible film career for Khan.
Despite his lack of interest in acting, Khan said he has come to enjoy his sudden – albeit possibly brief – moment of fame.
But torrent of offers for modeling and ads has left him flattered.
