Chairman PIA Nasir Jafar resigns in wake of staffers’ killing

ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Nasir Jafar has stepped down from his post in the wake of two staffers’ killing in Karachi, ARY News reported.

Nasir Jafar said that he has forwarded his resignation to the prime minister, adding that he was grieved over the killing of two PIA employees in Karachi today.

Jafar said after the tragic death of two staffers, he no longer feels satisfied in staying at the post.

Earlier in the day, protesting PIA employees clashed with law enforcers outside PIA head office in Karachi. Amid the clash gunshots were fired that resulted in the death of two employees.
