Chaman explosion kills one, injures two security officials

QUETTA: At least one person was killed while two security forces officials were injured in an explosion on Boghra Road in Chaman, the capital of Qilla Abdullah district in Balochistan.

ARY News reported on Monday, quoting levies sources that the explosion occurred on Boghra Road when a security forces vehicle was passing through it.

As a result of the incident, one person was killed while three persons including two security forces officials were injured.

Soon after the tragic incident, police and officials of the law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and started an investigation.

Chaman is a small town in the south-western province of Balochistan and is one of the two main crossing points for supplies for American and NATO troops fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Militants regularly attack security forces and national installations in Balochistan, plagued by an insurgency and growing sectarian killings for more than a decade.
