ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has telephoned renowned religious scholar and vice-president of Wafaqul Madaris, Mufti Rafi Usmani and told him that the Government holds positive efforts of religious seminaries in high esteem – ARY News reports.
According to details, the Federal Interior Minister telephoned Mufti Rafi Usmani in the evening on Saturday and told him that the Government respects positive efforts of religious seminaries. He told that the role of ulema and religious scholars pertaining to core national issues, is of great importance and it is highly regarded by the Government.
On this occasion, Mufti Rafi Usmani expressed his wishes for the success of negotiations process between the Government of Pakistan and Taliban and insured the Interior Minister of unprecedented cooperation for the sake of restoring peace in the state.
