TOP NEWS

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will meet the Taliban committee for peace talks led by Maulana Sami-ul-Haq on Saturday (today), ARY News reports from Islamabad.

In the meeting, the overall situation after Taliban's refusal to extend ceasefire will be disussed. They will also discuss how to take the peace process forward.

"Reservations can be removed via dialogue but the chances of its progress are less without a ceasefire", Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had said. "Peace process has to go forward after ending deadlocks", he added.

The negotiation progress with Taliban militants began in February whose aim was to end the militant attacks in Pakistan and the restoration of peace in the country. However, no clear progress has been seen so far.
