CHITRAL: Lowari Top, the only land route of connecting Chitral to other parts of the country, is closed in the wake of heavy snowfall, whilst the residents and travelers are facing severe difficulties as they have been stuck there for quite some days – ARY News reports.
Sources told that the Lowari Top is being closed currently for all kinds of transportation after the recent snowfall in Chitral and adjacent areas. It was further stated that the officials of the National Highway Authority (NHA) do not allow common citizens to get through the Lowari tunnel, whereas the route is opened for the VIPs and other influential people, whenever they want.
Due to this, common people of Chitral and the travelers have been stuck there and they facing extreme difficulties, whereas a scarcity of day to day necessities is also persisting in the mountainous district.
With this state of affairs, common people have been waiting for many days, for the route to be opened for them and they could do something to make their living.
