Christmas blessings: Birth of Jesus being celebrated

December is a holy month for the Christian community across the globe, as Jesus is supposed to be decline on earth at 25th of this month 2013 years ago, according to Christian beliefs.

Bible explains the event of Jesus Christ birth as, “An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:9-14)

On the very holy occasion, Christian community arranged different prayer gatherings to fascinate the Holy Spirit.

All church’s youth organization Pakistan, Karachi chapter organized a Christmas carnival dinner in Saint Andrews Church, Saddar Karachi to increase harmony and solidarity among community. Pastor Benjamin led the opening prayer of the event in which he ask peace and solidarity for Christian community specially living in Pakistan.


National leader for Pakistan Haroon Bhatti of Lahore was the guest of honor in carnival, he belongs to ‘The Foursquare Church’. Founder and the chairman of the organization Gulrez Pasha was the special guest in the night, full of religious spirituality.

Choir of the St. Andrews church sung different hymns related to the birth of Jesus to express their devotion for their Lord according to their belief.

Tehmina Tariq is a young worshipper from Rawalpindi, who specially travelled for Karachi to attend the Christmas carnival, she sung four hymns and all the attendants in the carnival were lost with her, as the holy spirit lands in her melodious voice to bless them the spirit of Christmas.
