LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed has said that new cinema houses should be encouraged, ARY News reports.
Addressing a ceremony at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) here on Saturday, Pervez Rasheed stated that the federal government will encourage new cinema houses due to which entertainment tax is not being collected.
He further said that the number of cinemas is decreasing whereas the total numbers of seminaries have increase. He added that South Punjab has become famous for Taliban.
Pervez Rasheed accepted that the state and society is not giving attention to film making and the children are becoming suicide bombers. He added that it will be a good thing if the children are given chances to produce films instead of handing them suicide jackets.
Federal Information Minister said that the state accepts its flaws and efforts are being made to turn the country into a social state.
