Citizen approaches court after cat killed in Karachi road mishap
KARACHI: A citizen of the metropolis filed a case, on Friday, against a woman who drove over his cat, killing the pet on spot, ARY News reported.
As per details, the woman’s vehicle ran over a pet cat while she was driving through South Zone in limit of Darakhshan police station, Defence Housing Authority Phase VIII on Feb 1.
Following the incident, the citizen decided to move the court after police refused to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) against the culprit.
Police claimed that it was a stray cat. “If it was a pet animal, then an FIR could be lodged,” police added.
The man who lost his pet, contented that animal rights are protected all over the world, “police and court should take measures to protect animals,” he demanded.
In October last year, a fashion event in Turkey demonstrated, though inadvertently, a live explanation of the popular word ‘catwalk’. It happened when a real cat literally hit the ramp during the show.
The feline wasn’t a model invited on the stage to showcase new designs but was an intruder who couldn’t care less and sat there amid passing models, doing its own business. The incident happened in the Esmod International Fashion Show, held this week in Istanbul and the audience was more excited over the little animal’s act than the haute couture.
The video was uploaded on Instagram and has left people around the globe in splits.
