According to details, CJP Anwar Jamali reached Karachi on Friday evening and will serve his duties as the apex judge in the Karach registry of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He will leave for Islamabad after his two-day stay in the provincial capital.

During his course of stay in Karachi, the issue of forming the judicial commission to probe the allegations of Panama Leaks, against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family, is likely to come under consideration.

Sources said that SC judges Justice Ameer Hani Muslim, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Maqbool Baqir are in Karachi whereas acting chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar is arriving in Karachi on Monday.

According to some sources the CJP will likely to decide about the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the allegations of Panama Leaks.

PM Nawaz had written a letter to the chief justice to form a judicial commission for investigations of the disclosures made in Panama Papers.

Panama Papers had claimed that PM Sharif’s children had offshore wealth.

Opposition parties in the country had demanded the Premier to hold himself and his children accountable whereas some have even called for his resignation.
