CM KP denounces cinema house blasts, announces compensation

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pervez Khattak while condemning blasts at a cinema house here, has said that by doing so, enemies of the state want to sabotage the peace negotiations – ARY News reports.

The Chief Minister while denouncing the attacks, said that the KP Government is equally aggrieved at the loss of lives as the families of the victims. He added that the enemies of the state want to derail the peace process with such wicked acts.

CM Pervez Khattak announced Rs 5 lac each for the deceased in cinema blasts, whilst 2 lacs for the ones getting injured.

Moreover, the Governor KP, Engineer Shaukatullah also condemned today's blasts and expressed his heartfelt sympathies for the families of the victims.

Earlier today, at least 12 persons were killed, while 22 were injured in three consecutive blasts in a cinema at Pajlaki road of Peshawar, citing rescue sources.
